Since music is the entirety of our being here at DailyDoseOfBass.com, we figured it only right to provide some insight into getting the best sound quality to listen to said music. This is our first review here on the site and hope it helps to inform you on whether these headphones are something you may or may not be interested in purchasing.

I was sent these particular headphones by the company a few months back with the premise being no strings attached – they simply wanted to get their new product in the hands of people who appreciate music and needless to say I’ve been throughly impressed. As is the case with all new headphones I go through a “burn in” period before really judging how well they sound. Burning in simply put, is breaking in your headphones so that the diaphragm is loosened and the driver is introduced to various sounds (a range of white and pink noise, frequency sweeps and various genres) which in the end, most will argue, improves the overall sound quality of the speakers.

Design

The first thing I noticed about these headphones was the superior craftsmanship and time spent on intricate details that other brands lacked. The packaging says volumes about how much time the company spent really making this product unique. Before even seeing the headphones I was presented with a very luxurious looking travel case wrapped in croc-leather. The design influence is listed as Italian and Swiss and the culmination is truly something that stands out. For instance, the bridge at the top is covered in soft stitched leather padding and coupled with the same leather surrounding the ear – which makes them very comfortable to wear for hours at a time. I can appreciate this because as is the case with other headphone brands I notice my ears start to hurt after an hour or so. The aluminum and stainless steel are acoustically engineered as well as aesthetically pleasing to look at, with the only downside being fingerprints, but I can live with that as I’m carrying a microfiber cloth with me most times anyways.

Durability

Before I speak on the sound quality, let me make a quick point to talk about the durability of these headphones. One of my favorite and most used features of these headphones is the swivel ear cup design. When I am wearing headphones and find myself in a situation where someone is approaching me to have a conversation or my phone rings, instead of having to take these headphones completely off of my head, I’m able to swivel the ear cup – break the sound isolated barrier – and carry on a conversation, a very, very nice feature to have.

Sound

Now for the good stuff, what it really all boils down to right? The sound quality. After a 40-hour burn in period, busy airports, crowded planes and general on-the-go activities – I’m convinced that these are most definitely some of the best sounding headphones I’ve tested in this price range. The frequency response covers the low to high range in a spectacular fashion, while the crisp, deep bass never distorts even when pushing these bad boys to the limit. Their “3-Stage Technology” consists of a Bass Enhancer, Active Noise Cancellation and the option to use batteries or not (which comes in handy if your batteries die on the road) depending on whether or not you want heavy bass and a generally louder listening experience. The 24k gold plated jacks included ensure you the highest signal transfer with no interference and are detachable from the headphone. Another cool feature are the dual jacks, one located on the right with the other on the left, so that you can share your music with a friend by plugging in their headset to the second jack – which is a handy addition if you’re not trying to take the headphones off and give them to a friend.
