If you remember well enough, we pulled the original version of “Squirm” for as DAD exclusive back on Christmas Eve and I championed it as basically a revelation for 100BPM experimentation and pushing things forward. Now with the news that the Jameston Thieves project is no longer a duo, one has to wonder how much of the music I’ve personally come to enjoy will change and where the sound will go. Whatever those moves are going to entail, today is all about this exclusive we pulled on the remix of “Squirm” from El Cucuy. The PDX native turns the original into a tropical bass stormer that plays totally off the lead synth that was the initial element that got me hooked in the first play. El Cucuy turns this out more than proper as his translation of this tune is just as dope as the original. Uptempo fire right here.
