The KJs are a tropical bass duo out of the UK that initially were carving out a fairly nice lane for themselves with the current zouk bass movement. This “Bazooka” tune, exclusive today to DAD, is the first foray into faster tempos that I can recall from the crew and the result is money. Technically, it’s a bootleg flip of Carlo Lamartine and Aguias Reais’s track “Bazooka” from the early ’70s. KJs added some sinister kuduro type elements with a super grimey bassline and nice melodic accompaniment to the original Angolan revered classic. This one is super lively and fun and it’s hitting you just in time for the weekend. Get funky on ’em.
