With his stellar second artist album, Overgrown, James Blake has been recognized as been put in a class with The xx, Alt-∆, and Roni Size/Reprazent, winning the 2013 Mercury Prize. Blake, the Englishman with a contemporary electronic and blue-eyed soul style, wins the 2013 award and £20,000. The album, and James Blake for that matter has already garnered serious critical acclaim, headlining status, and inspired people from every corners of the world. It’s always great to see talent recognized and celebrated in their time.
