If there’s two things that we definitely love here at DAD, it’s the things that Jubilee does on the boards and tropical bass music. Jubilee’s new release “JMZ Riddim” (which kind of dropped out of nowhere on Mixpak just now) marries all of that in a beautiful cookie. Perfect for the long Memorial Day weekend, we’re expecting nothing but waists winding when this reggaeton/dancehall-flavored tune drops. No craziness with the track at all; we get a memorable melody, great percussion work, and some added spices and herbs (which include vocal pops, someone chanting “Brooklyn”) and much more. To round this release out, the mysterious Thunderidge Echo drops two different takes on “JMZ Riddim,” one in a more reggae vibe and another that’s much more inna dub meltdown. We’re calling all kinds of rewinds when this one gets going, seen?
