Last month we told you about the Red Bull Music Academy kicking off a festival in New York this year. This is different than their regular RBMA, which is much more than dope nights out. This festival is purely about dope nights out, bringing it back to NYC, which hosted the 2013 Red Bull Music Academy. Today RBMA announced the month’s long list of shows, which has a GRIP of electronic music-related nights. Some highlights include May 1’s Bounce Ballroom, which will feature Todd Terry, DJ Sliink, Mike Gip, and MikeQ (among others), while crews from last year’s Culture Clash will be performing for a special one-year anniversary party. There will be a special street party going down in the name of Larry Levan on May 11, a “Hudson Mohawke and Friends” night on May 28, and the Lit City Trax crew touching down on May 30. The full details are available on RBMA’s website, and we highly recommend you make some plans to come out.
