Earlier this week, Dieselboy dropped his massive new mix, “The Destroyer.” Last month, DJ Dara announced that he’s celebrating 20 years of DJing (and drum & bass) with a new tour. That just leaves newness from the final member of the Planet of the Drums conglomerate. AK1200’s been repping drum & bass in America for just as long as Dieselboy and DJ Dara, releasing a number of well-received mix CDs over the years on Moonshine (including Lock & Roll and Prepare For Assault). He’s a guy who’s loved highlighting the lesser-known producers (which is best seen on his Weapons of Tomorrow project, which was curated entirely from producers on the legendary DogsOnAcid forum). He’s also a producer, dropping a number of singles and remixes over the years as well.
