Out now on Ultra Music is the Spada remix of TRESOR’s “Never Let Me Go.” The award-winning TRESOR (French for “treasure”) is undoubtedly one of the biggest musical presences in South Africa at the moment, and his soul-drenched brand of pop is beginning to spread across the world.
His previous single “Mt. Everest” caught the attention of Ultra last year and was later remixed by DJ Freddy Verano. The label is championing the sounds of this expressive artist – with plans to release his next album towards the earlier stages of 2017.
The uplifting “Never Let Me Go” is the focus of the international platform’s attention this month, and Czech Republic hailing producer, songwriter and DJ Spada has created a stellar edit of the single. Keeping its twinkling melodies and empowering vocals as the backbone of this rework, Spada weaves a darting deep house beat and a subtle sense of groove beneath, adding further waves of feel-good energy. He also introduces fans to melodic Afro-dance guitar and Congo drums, which add to the overall texture and vibe.
This release is a glorious fusion of two musical styles, and reflects two immensely talented individuals. “Never Let Me Go” is the perfect introduction to the sounds of multi-platinum songwriter TRESOR, who we can expect to hear much more from as the rest of the year unfolds.
He says of the single,
“I am extremely excited to finally share “Never Let Me Go” with the world. It was written to be a soundtrack to lifetime great memories and to spark an instant explosion of joy for whoever listens to it. The Spada remix gave the track new life and I hope it brings more life and color to this summer.”
